The process behind your composite bonding
We look at your teeth, discuss what you’d like to change, and design the look you want. Shade matching ensures your bonding blends naturally.
The tooth surface is lightly roughened and a conditioning liquid applied. No drilling is usually needed.
The resin is applied in layers, shaped, and sculpted by hand. This is where your new smile takes shape.
A special light hardens each layer. Once complete, the bonding is polished to a natural finish that matches your other teeth.

Composite Bonding FAQ
What is composite bonding?
Composite bonding is a cosmetic treatment where tooth-coloured resin is applied and shaped directly onto your teeth. It can fix chips, gaps, discolouration, and uneven edges.
Does composite bonding damage teeth?
No. Unlike veneers, composite bonding usually requires little to no removal of tooth enamel. It’s a minimally invasive option.
How long does composite bonding last?
With good care, composite bonding lasts 5–7 years. It can chip if you bite hard foods or grind your teeth.
Can composite bonding fix gaps?
Yes. It’s one of the most common uses — resin is applied to close or reduce gaps between teeth.
How do I care for composite bonding?
Brush and floss regularly. Avoid biting nails, chewing pens, or eating very hard foods. Attend regular hygiene appointments.
Can composite bonding stain?
The resin can pick up staining from coffee, tea, or red wine over time. Good oral hygiene and regular polishing help maintain the colour.
How much does composite bonding cost?
Pricing depends on how many teeth are treated. We provide a full breakdown during your consultation.
Is composite bonding painful?
No. It’s a comfortable treatment with no injections needed in most cases.
Can composite bonding be reversed?
Yes. Because little to no enamel is removed, composite bonding can be taken off if needed.
